Super Secret Project Revealed: Four Little Pots!

May 5, 2010

in Hands On:,blogging & social media,crafts + diy,recipes

Thank you all so much for your patience, between my blog going down this weekend and the scope of this project I wasn’t sure it would ever be finished in time- but it is!! And I’m SO excited to share what Moorea & I have been working on!

what is four little pots?

Four Little Pots is an invitation to get passionate about food, and to get your hands dirty in the process! It’s a challenge- you grow dill, basil, lavender and mint this summer (in the complete package everything is provided, you just need four little pots) and the ebook will guide you through with stories about how I got into “slow food”, information on how to take care of your little plants, and recipes for when it’s time to eat! To be exact:

Four Little Pots is a beautifully illustrated eBook packed with stories, tips and recipes that’s designed to look amazing on a home printer.
Four Little Pots is a guided micro gardening & cooking project, no garden required.
{For a limited time} Four Little Pots is a package in the mail with the four types of seeds used in the project: dill, basil, mint & lavender.

(If you’re subscribed in a reader, please click through to see the secure purchase options available through paypal)

This package is for people who may already be gardening with these herbs or for people who would like to buy started plants instead of waiting for their seeds to grow, or for people who just want to try out some new recipes.

The eBook Package Contains:

The Four Little Pots eBook for direct download (no waiting!) complete with:

- Full original illustrations by the lovely and talented Moorea Seal
- Stories about why I’m passionate about slow food & my first kitchen garden
- Instructions on how to plant, grow, care for, harvest and cook with your kitchen herb garden
- Two recipes for each type of herb I recommend growing, from the decadent (homemade, no machine, mint ice cream) to the simple (a wonderful basil chevre sandwich)

This package is for people who would like to get a little snail mail too! The package of seeds is a gift from me to you, you just pay for the postage – but it’s only available until the packages run out.

The Complete Package Contains:

- Two recipes for each type of herb I recommend growing, from the decadent (homemade – no machine – mint ice cream) to the simple (a wonderful basil chevre sandwich)

2. A handmade package in the mail from Kyla, containing the seeds you’ll need to start growing!
Please Note: Most countries are fine with accepting seeds for sowing in the mail, but some are not. If you live in Australia or another country that has an import ban on seeds, I will still incur shipping cots in sending them out to you (even if the package is returned) so I won’t be able to offer refunds on the shipping if this happens.

Thank you so much for considering being a part of our project!

As a thank you I’ll be giving away one copy of the ebook- you can enter up to three times by (1) commenting, (2) sharing Four Little Pots on twitter, or (3) blogging about it, just share the links in a comment here =)

[contest is now closed]

Please let me know what you think of the project- Moorea & I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

Wow, what a great idea and it perfectly lines up with the book I’m reading now, Animal,Vegetable, Miracle. Gardening is something I really want to get into eventually, but I want to get the inside of my house taken care of first and at this point my dogs would just tear anything up that I planted. Getting them trained is on the to-do list also. :) I thought starting with a kitchen herb garden would be the first thing I attempt, but I don’t know if now is the right time. I’ll seriously consider checking out the e-book though!

I just commented on your most recent post, but I had to come back to this one to just say how much I adore this project you came up with. I just started my own little potted herb garden on our front patio a few weeks ago, and I’d love to have the eBook to go along with what I’m already growing. If you still have copies left, I’m going to have to buy one!

This is such a fantastic idea! And it couldn’t have come at a better time… I just started a windowsill herb garden of my own, with seedlings that I smuggled to the prairies from my father’s greenhouse in Ontario! So far, my plants are doing great… except for the chives, which keep getting their tops nibbled off by my kitties!

I can’t WAIT to get my Four Little Pots seeds in the mail! I live for Lavender Lemonade, and couldn’t be more excited to make my own!

Oh what a great project, Kyla! Good for you!!! Ordering mine now – I wanted to attempt to grow some things on my patio again this year. Last year I attempted tomatoes and cucumbers. Neither went over too well, maybe your e-book will help me!
